You may give us information about you by completing the funding application form on our website (‘our site) or by correspond with us by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you purchase tickets or register for fund raising events via our site, donate to us, subscribe to our e-newsletter, make an enquiry; when you volunteer to participate in an event or subscribe to any of our services or events. The information you give us may include your name, address, certain financial information in relation to your request for funding; professional qualifications, educational achievements, work history; your role, e-mail address, phone number; home address.
Information We Receive From Other Sources
We may receive information about you from the college or other educational institution/training center you attend or have applied to attend, from the organization for which you work or other third parties. We may also obtain information about you which is publicly available on third party sites such as social media sites, website of your employer or business or other professional bodies of whom you are a member. The information we obtain from such sources may include your name and contact details, information about your employer, your educational and professional achievements.
Service Providers
We use service providers such as a marketing and direct mail companies, BT Donate and Just Giving to help us provide you with our services. We ensure there are appropriate systems in place to protect your personal data.
When you use our online shop and donation pages, your donation is processed by a third party payment processors, for example Paypal, BT Donate and Just Giving who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.
Some of our service providers may be based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will endeavor to ensure they provide an adequate level of protection in accordance with UK Data Protection Law. By submitting your personal information to us you agree to this transfer, storing or processing at a location outside the EEA.
How we might use the information
It depends how it has been received by us, but in most cases it will fall into one of the following categories:

Application for Funding
The Head of our Advisory Board will process your information from application forms to present to the Advisory Board for consideration of the application for funding. Applicants’ names, addresses, and dates of birth are excluded from the case presentations. The full files are password protected on our system and only seen by The Head of the Charity. Your data may be used to detect fraud.
Supporters and Donors
Your data will be used to provide you with our e-newsletter, information about any relevant goods or services and to process purchases, donations and gift aid. A record may be kept of our relationship and your data preferences.
Promotions
To help promote our work you may be asked to consent to us sharing your experiences for use on our website, e-newsletter, social media, promotional materials or campaigns. We will only do so if you give us your consent, or if under 18, obtain the consent from the parent or guardian.
Please note that where we have obtained your consent of that of your parent or guardian for processing of your personal information, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time.
